My third day of lectures in the new semester was kind of a mixed bag, and it started on a disappointing note. I had only one lecture scheduled for today, from 8am to 10am, so I made sure to wake up early, get dressed, and head to school on time. But when I got there, I found out the lecture had been cancelled. That one really got to me 😕💔. You know that feeling when you’ve already prepared your mind for class, carried your notebook, and then you just get there for nothing? Yeah, I didn’t even bother staying around. I just turned back and went home.

Once I got home, I was still a bit annoyed, so I just slept off the stress. I didn’t wake up until around 12 noon. After that, I spent a good part of the afternoon just messing around on my phone, replying to messages and checking a few things I’d been putting off. Before I knew it, it was already 3pm.

Later on, I linked up with some friends and we decided to go to the market. I also needed to pick up a few things for myself, so it worked out fine. We spent a couple of hours moving around, buying stuff, and just catching up while we walked. By the time we got back home it was around 5pm. One of my friends had already made moi at home – that local Nigerian dish made from grounded beans – so we all sat down, ate together, and honestly that was the best part of my day. After eating, we just chilled and ended up sleeping again till this evening.

So yeah, that was basically how my day went. Started with disappointment, but ended up being relaxed and lowkey fun with food and friends.
