Part of our Closed on Sundays series, today’s message In One Ear and Out the Other challenged us to move beyond just hearing God’s Word and actually make room for it to take root in our lives. We confronted the danger of self-deception, how we can hear truth, agree with it, and still choose not to live it out, remembering that if you’re not being shaped by the Word, then you will be shaped by the world. Real faith, as seen in James 1:27, shows up in how we live, love, and care for others, refusing to let what we heard on Sunday leave us unchanged on Monday.

In week 1 we walk through James 1:1-18 and confront a hard truth: real faith isn’t proven when life is easy - it’s revealed under pressure.

In week 2 of We the People, Pastor KT talks about how Judas didn't just betray Jesus, but entered into a weighted covenant, where the value of Christ was measured our coin by coin and a price was set on Him. It challenges us to see that we often do the same thing not with silver, but with our choices, weighing Jesus against comfort, control, relationships, and approval until something else becomes more valuable.

Pastor Corey wrapped up our Entrusted series with “Stewarding God’s Mission."

Stewardship of Money & Possessions: do you have a Money problem or a Master problem? Pastor Corey reads the Parable of the Rich Fool and points out that we aren’t meant to be reservoirs with our money. We’re meant to be rivers — ever flowing and connected to the main source, our Heavenly Father.

Stewarding our Direction: The Lord sets our path, but we choose how we steward our heart posture and mindset when we get there.

Stewarding our Gifts: It’s important to know our spiritual gifting, but it’s even more important to know how to steward your gifting well. This week, Rachel Hunka focused on the Parable of the Talents, where we see how the master gave more to the servants who were faithful with the little they had. Similarly, the Father will give us more when we show good stewardship over what He has already given to us. We are all getting to the finish line, will you be proud of yourself when you get there?
