Coming off early-season struggles, these two rivals look to turn the page as East Wilkes hosts North Iredell in a pivotal week 3 showdown.

After back-to-back losses—falling at home to Wilkes Central in Week 1 and on the road at West Iredell in Week 2—the Raiders are seeking a bounce-back on the road. Anchored by the dynamic Kaleb Parks, who’s a rare dual-threat athlete, playing both quarterback and cornerback, they’ll lean on his explosiveness on both sides of the ball. Parks is currently averaging an impressive 12.5 yards per game, making him the focal point of North Iredell’s offense.

The Cardinals also enter this matchup searching for a spark after consecutive losses—first on the road at Hibriten, followed by a home setback against Mount Airy. Their emotional leader is senior offensive lineman Brady Shore, whose versatility extends beyond the line; he stands as East Wilkes’ leading tackler with 12 tackles on the season. 

It's week 2 of the 2025-26 High School Football season. John and Keith are live from Ebb Tharpe Field in Ronda, North Carolina, for this hard hitting matchup featuring the East Wilkes Cardinals defending their home turf against the Mount Airy Granite Bears. East Wilkes is on the rebound from an intense season opener on August 22, where they fell just short to Hibriten by a score of 24–21.  Mount Airy sprinted out of the gate with a confident 21–6 win over Starmount.

It's the fourth round of the NCHSAA Softball Playoffs! John and Keith are up close and personal, bringing you ALL the action from "The Creek" on the campus of West Wilkes High School as the Blackhawks take on the Tigers. For 24 seed Mount Pleasant, a 14-9 record follows them to Millers Creek -  Ava Mergen draws the start on the pitchers mound. Her team comes into this game off the back of wins against East Rutherford and East Burgen. For West Wilkes, Kelsey Madden is their starting pitcher. Her team defeated Patton and West Lincoln to make it into the third round of playoff action. The homestanding Blackhawks are 21-3.
