There’s a fine line between persistence and obstinance. While persistence is the refusal to give up, obstinance is the failure to pivot, and most of the time we fail to pivot not because of a conviction that we are on the right course, but because we are simply afraid of change.

He is the founder and CEO of tech startup OpenSauced, an open source intelligence platform that empowers developers to contribute to open source projects. But had Brian not made a crucial decision to pivot at a critical point in his career, not only would his dreams have failed to come to pass, but he would never have found the inspiration to dream them at all.
