There are two types of Live videos you want to do:
Live Shows, a show you prep and plan for airing on a consistent schedule.
Live Streams, more raw and more focused on taking your audience on a journey.
Live Streaming complements your Live Show.
Level 1 uses your smartphone. It is easy and raw Live video.
You get used to creating and being on Live video. This is your time to practice with the technology and your content.
Take your phone and show behind the scenes. Take them along with you on your journey.
Going Live will take some time getting used to it, so just start and prepare your content less, you do not need a month's worth of content planned.
Level 2 adds a microphone or a light. Upping the quality of your broadcast.
Even added a browser-based software to help you go live.
The gear in level two all depends on your smartphone.
Level 3 adds a simple USB set up like E-Cam.
When you move from a browser-based software to an application you can create a more complex show and stream.
Level 4 is extra gear like an external switcher. Adding more items and higher quality to your workflow.
Level 4 is definitely a level with a higher budget and more gear.
