About This Episode:

I thought I would introduce myself as the author of the new adventures of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. You get to hear how and why I decided to re-tell this classic folktale, what are my plans for the trilogy (book 2 and 3) and how I took inspiration from Victor Hugo and JK Rowling. 

The Pied Piper of Hamelin:

The Pied Piper of Hamelin is the name of a legendary folktale about the Pied Piper who came to the rescue of a small little German town called Hamelin! The Pied Piper was hired by the town to use his magic pipe to stop the rat pandemic (not too dissimilar to the Covid-19 Pandemic). However, when the town's mayor refused to pay for the Pied Piper's services, the Pied Piper took revenge and used the magic pipe once more to take the town's children away forever!
