The Bitcoin network, which launched in early 2009, just surpassed 500,000,000 transactions. The milestone was recorded by Blockchain.com, which tracks overall transaction activity.

Parker Lewis, the head of business development at the crypto lending platform Unchained Capital says all fiat and virtual currencies will eventually bow down to Bitcoin.
