Susan, Charon, and Paul arrive at Basin Farms, near Bellows Falls. The fill in the farmer who is a Coalition operative of their plans to ambush the bombers. Sneaking through Bellows Falls by night, they get ready to cross the river but are stopped by the arrival of the bombers and their boss. Susan sees them receive the explosives and their instructions. The younger bombers worry about venturing into "cannibal country."
