Here are 5 ways you can get involved to help end immigration detention:
1. CALL AND ASK the U.S. House of Representative to write a letter expressing their concern about ICE’s detention of families. Encourage your own representatives in Congress to speak out against immigration detention: Alternatively, you may phone the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate office you request.
2. Let your local government know you do not support the for-profit detention of immigrants in your community. Contact your mayor and your representative in the state legislature and let them know you do not want privatized detention centers in your community.
3. Send letters to detained immigrants. Morale is low, especially in the family detention facilities. A friendly letter can bring hope to someone in detention who might feel hopeless.
4. Consider volunteering

What Is Mental Health? Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected. SO what do you feed your brain and mental health?
Rethink and Relearn: What are your triggers? Rethink about things that cause you anxiety and stress. How are you seeking mental health support for yourself. Just like your body, and everything else, are you feeding it a healthy dose of exercise and giving it the peace of mind for your mental health you need?
