Transcript:
What is going on, everyone. Welcome on into another episode of the Swim Discovery™ podcast presented to you by Swimable.com com. We are your hosts, Jim Wood and Jeff Wood. And for those of you who are tuning in, maybe for the first time, let me give you a quick background of what you can expect from the Swim Discovery™ podcast.
And talk a little bit about who we are. So my brother and I are, obviously brothers and we started a swim school in Atlanta, Georgia. Quit our real jobs about 10 years ago. And this podcast is dedicated to delivering you the listener, all of the experiences and all of the lessons that we have learned along the way.
You see the goal of this is to put the power back into your hands so that you can make the most optimal decision for how your child should learn how to swim. And so if we’ve done that inside of this podcast and we have done our job, what we’re going to be talking about today specifically is called the freedom to move.

And this will give you a great foundation as to what this Swim Discovery™ method is and why it works. So in today’s conversation, as I mentioned, we’re just going to dive in a little bit deeper to one of those freedoms, specifically the freedom to move so that you can be prepared for this Memorial day weekend, and really maximize the learning experience that your child is going to get when they go swimming in the pool that weekend. So, Jim, how did I do? And are you ready to get started?
You did great. Let’s let’s dive into it. So, like Jeff said, last week, we talked about the five freedoms of Swim Discovery™, which are like the rules for you to give your child basically, and to free yourself in the pool so that your child can learn to swim easily without ever needing swimming lessons.
Now, I’ll just repeat what those were. So you understand, in case you missed the last episode, there’s the freedom to move the freedom to play, the freedom to choose, which means allowing them to pick the activities that they want to do, the freedom to flow, which means you just let them keep playing and swimming without interruption.
And then the freedom to discover, which means yo
