4 Ways to Approach Life for Full Potential Results

Listen Later

In this week's Mental precept, we explore the different ways of approaching life. One of them being coming from the place to have freedom from something or the perspective of the freedom to do something. The mind comes from the perspective of having the freedom from something. So if you ask yourself am I approaching this decision from the need to escape and get away and avoid something?

So you're trying to get out of a comfortable situation or are you coming from spirit which comes from the perspective of the freedom to do something? So you're excited to do something versus all I got to change this, I need to get out of this situation or problem. That's how you can test where you're coming from. And if you're coming from the mind, that gives you an opportunity to shift because you realize that you get to choose and that it is your choice. And that is a much more positive way to live life, to think about what are the possibilities and what do I have the freedom to do? Versus always being in the mindset of having the freedom or the need, the choice to need to escape something or the freedom from.

If you're like me, you probably kept falling to this all the time, getting out of this situation, which isn't always fun because that's conflicting your feelings. So I have a little bit of a guideline that can help you kind of work through this to create a full potential results in your life by choosing the freedom to freedom too. Because there are unlimited options, especially when you choose the one that is different, it opens up even more possibilities. To create full potential results in your life, first, own your own feelings and reactions to people. Number two, let go of premature judgments and come to a peaceful place before making decisions.   The mental precept for this week is to figure out where you are coming from in your choices. Are you trying to get away from something or are you choosing out of your own joy, interest, and curiosity? This week, consider your choices and see if you can make more choices from a place of joy, interest, and curiosity.
