Naila is a 15-year-old passionate about sustainable energy, specifically where it intersects with nanotechnology. She has worked on projects like designing more efficient transparent and flexible solar cells utilizing nanomaterials like graphene and quantum dots, solar sailed fusion propelled spacecraft, a food waste reduction app, and a sustainable shopping browser extension. She is currently looking into bioplastics and how the biodegradation process can be sped up as well as building her solar cell in a lab.
