Quick - what do you say when someone asks you how you are doing?
Let me guess - fine or busy - or probably both. I know that's what I do but I'm trying hard to change that.
Are you mired in busyness?
Do you struggle to find space for what's truly important in your life?
Do you find yourself constantly overwhelmed and exhausted?
Do you feel like there's no way you can take on one more thing in your life?
That's NOT God's plan for your life.
God doesn't want us to live our lives so focused on the unimportant that we struggle to find time for what's truly important.
Like Him, our loved ones, taking care of ourselves so we can truly be there for others, and the desires He specifically places on our heart.
Listen to His truth about this.
Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork. So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.
The world's figured out oh-so-many ways for us to get absorbed, distracted, and comfortable with the unimportant.
And I discovered how true this was for me in my journey and how God gives us the ability to change that. Join me to hear more about how to create more space in your life for what's God-pleasing, not world-pleasing.
“Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Jesus in Luke 10:41-42
