IndieRE #77 by Radio Ć tudent, Ljubljana
The new, 77th broadcast of the IndieRE project is brought to you by Marko and DuĆĄan from Radio Ć tudent, Ljubljana, Slovenia. In the past couple of weeks the Slovenian music output has been tinged with beats so weâll be hearing from the bassist and beatmaker Frankly with his second album of silky smooth, yet deep beats titled Life Encoder, released on Beton Records. Then weâll switch the to the guitar and vocal powered music of Lelee, who are stopping by for an interview and are preparing their new album to be released by Moonlee Records. Weâll then return to beatmaking with Borka, a DJ, producer and a prominent figure in Ljubljanaâs music scene, whoâs preparing his third album Places on the rx:tx imprint and will talk to us about his work. Weâll wrap up the show with a song by MuzikaÄaka, the experimental music act of Sara KoroĆĄec, that has been included on the compilation Grounded - Peace V.A., the Grounded Festival self-released message of peace.

Marko MioÄiÄ has been interested in the Slovenian music scene since high school. After researching it in his spare time, he started working as a music journalist for Radio Ć tudent, Ljubljana in 2020, having since authored various reviews and other shows. As a student of philosophy and sociology, he is also interested in cultural phenomena, both contemporary and historical.
DuĆĄan BulajiÄ has been working with Radio Ć tudent as a music journalist and radio presenter since 2017, writing, presenting and authoring numerous shows, reviews and other contributions to the radioâs music programme. Since 2020 heâs the author of his own radio show Anima Afra where he discovers old and new music that flows through the currents of the Afrodiasporic musical universe.
