Parents of the Year

42. Is it OK for parents to fight in front of their kids?

Listen Later

People fight. Conflict is a normal part of any relationship. Even with the people we love the most. And especially the people we live with. We fight about little things like clearing the counter when we’re done making a sandwich to big things like who’s spending what money.

While normal, is it ok for kids to see their parents fight?

Yes, fighting can be stressful for kids at any time. However, it does not need to be postponed until you are behind closed doors. Seeing parents fight can actually be a good thing. When done correctly. Listen in to today’s episode to hear more as Caroline and Andrew discuss this important topic.

And check out this extra infographic on how to use these conflicts as opportunities to promote your child's effective communication and conflict-resolution skills: https://drcarolinebuzanko.com/effectiveconflictresolutionwithkids/
