Xu Fang had heard the Plague Array was gone. He was so scared he didn’t sleep all night. At first light, killing shouts shook the earth. Drums thundered, cries rose in waves. He climbed the wall to defend and saw Zhou troops all around—cloud ladders, cannons, all in place—fierce as a storm.

Lei Zhenzi flew above and smashed an enemy tower with one swing. Nuh-zhah rode the wind-fire wheels up to the wall. The defenders fell back in fear. Xu Fang couldn’t hold them and rushed down. Nuh-zhah broke the gate lock with one thrust, and Zhou soldiers poured in.
