Hello Humans! Welcome to the 43rd Show housed in “The Human Theatre”.

One of the most wonderful phenomenons in life is meeting and connecting with someone. Today’s guest exemplifies this phenomenon, and I cannot wait to share our conversation with you.

Today, we welcome an extraordinary, multi-talented Human to the show to discuss an array of topics ranging from Bio-hacking, Art, Poetry, Shamanism, Scuba Diving and the Kabbalah. Although this conversation covers so many diverse and seemingly unrelated topics, I promise you, there is something to be learnt, and something to be taken away.

Our guest today is David Flusberg. David Flusberg (“Flus”) is an American artist, writer, and poet from Boston and Manhattan, currently based in Romania. He is a self-taught painter, and began to make art in 2001, when he was twenty-five, after a shamanic encounter in the jungle of Laos.

Flus’s art forms a canon of semi-autobiographical, but always mythological storytelling—inspired by a smorgasbord of impressions drawn from nature and travel, ancient and tribal art, Kabbalah, yoga, and shamanism, and entheogenic places, spaces, and states. Ever-present are the spirits of Flus’s family and ancestors; the energies of animal and vegetable spirits; and visions that spring from the non-ordinary state of in vivo/vitro consciousness that Flus experiences when under water, cocooned in the womb of Mother Earth, swaddled by psychedelic colors, creatures, and sounds.

Flus graduated from Harvard College with a BA in Economics and a focus on sociology and anthropology; spent several years as a corporate advisor at a top-tier consulting firm; and then moved to Romania, where he developed close to 2,000 apartments. Flus is fluent in Hebrew and Romanian. He is a certified scuba instructor and teaches diving courses to his children and other very important people. When he isn’t under water, Flus can be spotted making day trips to ancient castles in the Transylvanian Alps, or night trips to his studio in Bucharest.
