This week on an all new Business Over Beer, we welcome Douglas Levin of Morning Marketing Machine to the program. Douglas went from professional musician to entrepreneur, jumping into the ecommerce game, doing everything from arbitrage selling to wholesale to private label. Now he wants to pass on what he's learned through a new course helping make ecommerce reselling accessible to anyone.

  • When getting started, be clear on who is my ideal customer, what brand values I bring to the table, who are my competitors and how can I do things differently.

  • Change your mindset so when setbacks happen you're in a position to learn and grow from it instead of holding you back.
  • Just like being in a band, you have to practice the fundamentals so when you go on stage you can show your best.
  • Think about things to be grateful for, even if something goes wrong, instead of looking at it negatively, think about it instead what did I learn, or what could I have done better or do better next time.
  • Don't worry about being smartest guy in the room, instead surround yourself with people that you can learn and grow from.
  • If you're going against big go small, if you're going against small go big.
  • Chatbots and Messenger Marketing to personalize service experience and walk thru your products with your customers.
