Dr. Francis Poulin is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo in Canada. His research studies oceanic processes like currents and vortices, especially in regards to their effects on marine ecology and climate. Specifically, he uses mathematical and computational models to analyse features of these processes like the stability of ocean currents.
