If there is one thing that was consistent about Heather’s life it is change. She is a global nomad who splits her time between Saudi Arabia and Washington State. She is a mother of three mighty girls who live with chronic illness. Heather has been in recovery from alcohol for 4 years and has 10 months of consecutive sobriety. She is so grateful to have found some magic in the messy middle of my life.
Heather has a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in New York. Over the last two decades she has found her calling working with children, teens and their families in a variety of settings. She currently coaches women and teens experiencing a period of change or transition, and is training to become a She Recovers Coach and Mindfulness Coach and Teacher.
Heather is here today because she believes in the importance of recovering out loud. She says, “I would not be as far along in my own recovery if it weren’t for women who came before sharing their experiences. I believe in the power of stories.”
