Today's guest is 80-year-old Derek Boosey who was born in India and has lived a life full of adventure and accomplishment. He has no intention of being done anytime soon! Though he is an American citizen and lives less than an hour from our headquarters in Southern Utah, he likely has more international athletic experience than most of our guests and listeners, as he has served in some capacity at 9 Olympic Games! In his first Olympic experience, Derek competed in the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games, where he competed in the triple jump for Great Britain. For the next 8 consecutive Olympic Games all the way to the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Derek contributed either as a coach for various teams or individual athletes, as an administrator, or a sports marketing contributor. Mr. Boosey has additionally been published 5 times for his expertise in jump-related track and field events and has truly dedicated his life to furthering the sport of Track and Field across the world.
