A New Life
1 Peter 1:1-12
Our future (3-5).
* A living hope (3a).
* An imperishable, unfading, uncorrupted inheritance (4).
* A ready salvation (5).
Our present (6-9)
* We suffer in the present for future glory.
* We must hold fast in the present to Christ who holds our future (8-9).
Our past (10-12)
* Now is the culmination of God’s plan that has been in effect for all time.
* Salvation is in God’s hands, accomplished by Jesus at the cross.
* This moment has been anticipated by the heavenly hosts.
