Do you know you have an owner's manual for how other people in your life are supposed to act?
Your significant other, your kids, your friends, your boss - everyone in your life.
This manual comes from your belief systems - formed from all your thoughts and experiences over your lifetime.
These manuals lead to problems in our relationships.
First, your human nature is going to be to to respond negatively when someone doesn't follow the manual you have for them.
Second, this happens frequently because everyone has their own unique belief systems.
Third, when this happens it can lead to you trying to control that person's behavior.
WARNING: Other adults don't like to be controlled and you can't actually control what other adults ultimately do so this will make you feel desperate and helpless.
Join me this week to learn all about our manuals and how we can manage them to improve our relationships.
Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle. Romans 12:10 MSG
