The film stars the voices of Yōji Matsuda, Yuriko Ishida, Yūko Tanaka, Kaoru Kobayashi, Masahiko Nishimura, Tsunehiko Kamijo, Akihiro Miwa, Mitsuko Mori and Hisaya Morishige, while the English cast includesBilly Crudup, Tara Strong, Minie Driver, Billy Bob Thornton, John DeMita, John DiMagio, Gilian Anderson and Jada Pinket Smith.
