ABOUT THIS EPISODE
How do small creators get brand deals on YouTube? I've never pitched a sponsorship in my life - yet brands like Wix, Skillshare, Flexispot, BenQ and Domestika have reached out to work with me, even when I had under 2,000 subscribers. This video breaks down the 5 reasons brands reach out to small creators, so you can start attracting brand deals and sponsorships with a small audience too.
There's a common assumption that brand sponsorships only go to creators with hundreds of thousands of followers - but that's not what I've seen. Brands actively prefer working with micro influencers (10k-100k) and nano influencers (under 10k), because trust and engagement run stronger at smaller scale. My first paid brand deal was £800 per video for two videos, and what landed it wasn't my follower count - it was the way my content was structured. This video walks through exactly how to position yourself as the kind of creator brands want to sponsor.
If you're a small creator, an artist, illustrator, maker or creative business owner who's wondered how to get brand deals on YouTube without a huge audience (or how to attract sponsorships without pitching), this is the breakdown.
