In 1994 a band from Bakersfield, California (our home town!) would release an album that would redefine heavy metal and pop culture for the next decade. That album was "Korn" by....KORN.
Mixing funk and hip hop rhythms with Groove Metal riffs ,Steve Vai meets Dr. Dre's G Funk sound effects, and New Romantic lyrics influenced by The Cure and Depeche Mode, Korn would create what would be called Nu Metal and go on to become the biggest band in the world by decades end!
Produced by past guest of the show, Ross Robinson, "Korn" is one of the cornerstones of both of our child hoods
