"One of the most helpful things I've heard said about emotions is that they are like clouds. At the time that they're above you it's blocking out the Sun and you cannot see anything but the darkness. But they're clouds, and they move, and the next day it's sunny."
"As we know as painters there are all these colours between the colours That's like our emotional landscape, the more we can sit with it and be with it the more subtleties that we can see. its almost like applying your artists eye to your emotional landscape"
"The Monsters are in the shadows and the longer that you actually sit with them and be with them, the more you realise they're shadows. And what you thought had substance and weight doesn't have as much as you thought. And you get that through being with it, through being present with the emotion that's happening."
