Researchers used
CRISPR screening to identify
neddylation as a vital regulator of
neuronal aging. Blocking this pathway in stem cell-derived neurons triggers
senescence,
DNA damage, and
proteostasis failure. These age-related hallmarks drive
Tau pathology and
cell death.
