It is not the event that causes the suffering. You suffer because you make all kinds of meaning around things that don't need to have extra meaning to them. Ask yourself: *What's the truth? *Where am I making up unnecessary, unworkable, and disempowering meaning? *Am I making up unnecessary meaning in my life that's causing me to suffer? *Am I making up a story about who I am or who I'm not or what I have or what I don't have or why I couldn't possibly go do the required actions to get what I want? Change your story, change the meaning, and stop making up meaning.
