Edwina the echidna which had swam 1km in ocean waters was found washed up at Golden Beach and has made a full recovery.

A juvenile echidna believed to have swum 1 km in ocean waters has made a full recovery and has now been released back into the wild after being discovered on Bribie Island.

Spokes person for the Pumicestone Passage Jen Kettleton-Butler told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, "I went over to do an island check on my boat one afternoon and I arrived there to see this beautiful echidna."

A groundbreaking new approach to long-term diabetes treatment is shifting the focus to the gut, offering results without the need for surgery and incisions.
