Pub Choir started out as a local experiment and has now grown into a global sensation.

It's all about transforming a group of strangers into a boisterous choir at a pub combining music, comedy and of course, beer.

Pub choir Brisbane-based founder Astrid Jorgensen told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "I've tried all sorts of things and I feel like all of them, in small degrees, are the ingredients of pub choir."

"I kind of feel like I was born to do this job."

Last month, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton said if elected, the Coalition would allow businesses to deduct for tax purposes up to $20,000 for business-related meal and entertainment expenses which would cost around $250 million.

However, the federal government has estimated the policy would cost be anywhere from $1.6 billion to $10 billion.

US President Donald Trump declared yesterday that America will take ownership of Gaza and turn the Palestinian territory into a new “Riviera”.

Trump and co. are now bracing for broad opposition to the plan which has already started to flow.

Bill McDonald has backed Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner's plan for car parking to be banned for longer on several of Brisbane’s major roads, but believes the plan should be expanded.

Logan City Council Mayor Jon Raven has stated it's unaffordable to maintain parks, roads, and rubbish services.

The mayor has posted a video asking Logan rate-payers whether they would like to pay more for better services or have less services, but cheaper rates.

Logan Mayor Jon Raven told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "We experience the same inflation pressures that people do on their household budget."

"Councils only collect $0.03 out of every dollar of tax that you pay, state collect $0.17 and the feds collect $0.80."

"So, we really rely on the state and federal government in supporting us, especially with infrastructure spend and other areas like that," Mayor Raven said.
