In this episode of our silent retreat series, we delve into "Lesson 2: Assumptions" and "Lesson 3: Ego." Join us as we explore the profound impact assumptions and ego can have on our personal and professional lives.
Assumptions can create barriers and lead to misunderstandings, both in the workplace and in our personal relationships. During the silent retreat, Philippa learned how quickly we form assumptions about others based on limited information. These assumptions can keep us stuck in old patterns and prevent us from seeing the true potential in ourselves and others.
Following on from Assumptions, the ego influences how we perceive ourselves and others. A healthy ego allows us to maintain a balanced and robust sense of self, whereas an unhealthy ego can lead to defensiveness, self-doubt, and conflict.
