Many people spend traditional holidays around immediate family and friends, while others may go off the grid and do things a little bit different. I took some time to get away from that and spend the holiday weekend in a place that has a special place in my heart. A city that basically kept me together during the rough and trying times of the pandemic that took this country by storm. A time where people were let go or lost jobs due to the fact that the pandemic was basically forcing local businesses and big companies to close. People were on the brink of losing what little to nothing they had. And Sacramento welcomed me with open arms. Though was still a tough time, commuting back and forth at least twice a week to maintain my apartment I still had in Fresno, but it truly kept my head above water and kept me sane.  I met some cool people along the way that let me know I was welcome back whenever I got ready.
