This weeks mix is a set I recorded live on New Years Day. It's always fun when I get to play a Fortune 421 day party(http://fortune421.com/), the crowd enjoys more of a disco and progressive vibe and it allows me to get back to my roots. There is a big influence from Dj Dan and his label Instereo in this mix, Another Late Night by Dsn was the first House cd I ever bought. If you've ever been to a niteclub where dance music is played, you may have observed the same things I have...the minute a song with these influences is played, its effect on people (especially the females) is evident.

The dancing becomes more sensual, sexier.

Almost as if they "feel" sexier. There is more hip action.

With the couples, more touching, holding, embracing, even grinding.

As if a passion has been reawakened, or stirred within.

These beats, these drums, these rhythms, so very primal.

As if they speak and reach down deeply into our cores, and make us want to move.
