Have you ever wondered why you don't see a lot of Black Play by Play announcers calling the games in your favorite sports? Did you ever notice that most representation in sports media from Blacks are either former players or mainly in studio guys, working as analysts? Where are all the Black Journalists that trained for the job and didn't play pro sports? Did you know that of the 130 radio play-by-play announcers who serve each of the Football Bowl Subdivision programs, not a single one is African-American? Well in this episode I sat down with Chris Lewis. He is a talented, young, Black Sports Broadcaster, who currently serves as the "Voice of Boise State's Athletics." Check out this interview as he discuss his journey, some professional tips and the industry from his perspective.
