'$5 billion gone by 2028': Calls to reduce Queensland's coal royalties to counter GST cuts

Listen Later

Coal Australia is calling on the Queensland government to reduce the state’s punitive coal royalties since the new GST split means the Sunshine State gets less from the Federal Government because we are taking more from the mining companies.

"By 2028 the total share of Queensland GST gone will be $5 billion." Mr. Bocking said.
