Coal Australia is calling on the Queensland government to reduce the state’s punitive coal royalties since the new GST split means the Sunshine State gets less from the Federal Government because we are taking more from the mining companies.
Former broadcaster and Coal Australia CEO Stuart Bocking told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "Queensland is now the only state to have its allotment of GST funding slashed."
"By 2028 the total share of Queensland GST gone will be $5 billion." Mr. Bocking said.
"How does that work for Queensland?"
