Fort Hare University emerged as the national champions in a thrilling Sasol League National Championships showdown, securing a nail-biting 4-3 victory over Lindelani FC at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday. The match concluded in a goalless draw during regular time and both finalists successfully earned their place in the upcoming season of the Hollywoodbets Super League. Remarkably, in their inaugural season within the competition, Fort Hare clinched the championship title and were rewarded with R200 000, a testament to their dedication in making the Eastern Cape community proud.  The runner-up, Lindelani, representing KwaZulu Natal, received a well-deserved prize of R100 000.
