More and more kids enter college each year right out of high school. Much of the time they do it on impulse: It’s what everyone else is doing, It’s what’s expected, celebrated and anticipated by peers.
At the core of the issue, lies a lack of the question: why? Students are pursuing degrees they don’t feel passionate about thus accumulating debt that wasn’t needed. They have little sense of who they are and what makes them them.
We don’t promote students to soul search, and if we do, we suggest they do it in the university setting.
Here are a couple resources for students struggling what to do and helpful/motivational links <3
1. Let me preface: please believe in yourself. Aim high.
2. Ask yourself is what your doing really feels like you
3. If it doesn't, are you okay with that?
4. Read Read Read. Reading really exposes to us what we find the most interest in.
5. I know there's external pressure: but if college doesn't feel right for you, don't feel the need to go. Anyone who doesn't understand that that's their issue.
