 In this episode, host Karli Burridge speaks with fellow PA, Shefaly (Shef) Ravula about ways in which Shef has incorporated cooking and food as medicine with herself, her family, and with her patients. They discuss Shef’s journey to finding the power of nutrition, starting with the news of her own, lean, vegetarian fathers’ heart attack at the age of 50. 

Shef is a board-certified physician associate, a global foods cooking instructor and educator with an amazing cultural family background that has been the crux and purpose of her journey. She is the founder and owner of Precision Metabolic Health which is a virtual telehealth company using culinary medicine and functional nutrition to achieve optimum health and is the owner and founder of the online Food-As-Medicine Academy, a virtual global platform teaching culinary medicine.
