Welcome to a new format of the 5 keys of Success podcast. I get asked a lot of same questions in various forms so I decided to create this format to answer those questions that you probably have been wondering about. Or, didn’t know to ask. Today’s question is: What is a Results Coach?

One of the biggest, most prevalent problems for people is the lack of follow through. They finish what the start. They don’t follow up with customers and prospects like they know they should. Many people have a lot of ideas that they want to do, but never get around to getting them off the ground.

We call this your performance gap. The difference between what you know and could do and what you consistently do. For most people that gap is big enough to drive semi through. Today we are going to talk about why we have them and what you can do to start to shrink that gap.

What price are you willing to pay for your dreams?

You always pay a price. Sometimes money is involved. You also have the time invested in it. What about the emotional challenges that you know are going to show up? The impact it is going to have on the other areas of your life. You will pay the price of being disciplined to achieve your goal or the price of regret and mediocrity. The choice is yours . . .

You probably answered the first step. And you would be wrong. It starts by choosing a destination. Otherwise it would be called wandering around. Which a surprising number people are doing. Yes I get that the saying is more about getting moving, but you need to understand at least in which direction to go. What I want to share with you today is about goals. Specifically the myths and misunderstandings that most people have about goals and goal setting.

What is the difference between training, personal development, and self mastery?

Back in the bygone days of bookstores, I would seek out what they called the self help section. The books gave information on how to become better at life. Deal with loss, addiction, self esteem, and much more. But studies show that over 70% of those books were never read past the first chapter. Today there is a ton of self education opportunities available now. More and more are coming online everyday. But that is NOT going to solve the problem. The problem isn’t learning. The problem is DOING.
