Nadia Romanos speaks to actress, Avumile Qongqo, who stars in Oscar-nominated South African short film, The Last Ranger.
The film follows a young South African girl, Litha, who is being introduced to a game reserve by the last remaining ranger when they are ambushed by poachers, leading to a battle to protect the rhinos.It is inspired by the true story of the first-known rhino to survive being poached, named Thandi.
Avumile opens up about the Best Live Action Short Film nomination, what the film meant to her, her experience on set with the real-life Thandi and more!
