Today on the hot seat we have the pleasure of speaking with Wazi M Kunene, an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and voice-over artist. Wazi was recently awarded the Savanna Comics Choice Newcomer Award, making her the first woman to win the Newcomer category. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University, Wazi has expertly navigated the creative industry, showcasing her many skills. She is a rising star in the skit comedy scene, and her Zulu children's books are prescribed and used in schools throughout South Africa. Wazi's debut stand-up comedy special, Dawn, was released in December 2021, and she has toured in three cities in 2022. We're excited to have Wazi on the show today to discuss her multifaceted career and ingenuity.
