Small Girl Abroad

#5: Moving Abroad @ 30; Why not? Here's What I did (w/ Milien Botha)

Listen Later

Fear and change can be overwhelming, but that is just part of life. In today's episode, Milien Botha, an English teacher, who moved from South Africa to another country (which she will tell you more later on) in her 30s, is here to share with you about her personal journey.

Sometimes, it's easier to keep ourselves contained in a box. With all the things that we heard and believed to be true about ourselves, we continue to be our own enemies. If you want to take that leap into a life you want, go for it. As Milien and many other expats know, then transition isn't always smooth but focusing on your path and letting go of your fear of failure will help you get to where you want to be.

Whenever we move to a new place or environment, there is always something that can surprise you. People, even. But that didn't stop Milien from pushing past her doubts and worries. She adapted and learned to adjust to the culture that surrounds her without sacrificing who she is.

So come, and join us on this episode.

Tune in and Enjoy!
