The topic of this episode of 5% Radio is the Entertainment to Education (E to E) ratio. This concept comes from the book "The Compound Effect" and refers to the balance between time spent entertaining oneself and time spent educating oneself.
The speaker notes that the average American spends over 5 hours per day on their mobile device, with much of that time spent on social media and watching TV. To move from an average life to an extraordinary one, one must do something drastically different, such as changing the E to E ratio.
The speaker suggests investing time wisely, spending more time on education and less on entertainment. Watching TV should be done in moderation, as it is a time investment that could be better spent elsewhere.
The speaker concludes that what one puts into their mind, their education, is of the utmost importance and that a balanced E to E ratio towards education is crucial for growth and success.

This story is about a man who was determined to achieve his goal despite the various setbacks he faced.
In 1831, he started his first business at the age of 22, but it failed. In 1832, he was defeated for legislator. In 1833, he started another business and that one also failed. In 1836, he suffered a traumatic mental breakdown. In 1840, he was defeated for elector and had another mental breakdown. His friends were so afraid that he would take his own life, that they confiscated all of the knives, razors, and scissors from his room. Despite the obstacles this man faced, he was still determined to reach his goal.
He went through three decades of failure before finally becoming the President of the United States in 1860. During this time he worked as a lawyer and had to deal with multiple congressional nominations, his son's death, and being defeated for Senate and Vice President. Despite all this, he strived to reach his goal and with a small win in 1846, he held onto a shred of hope that he could eventually reach his goal.
Despite his hard life, people still looked at him and thought it was nice to be him. The speaker then goes on to say that people will do the same thing to those who are trying to achieve their goals. They will doubt and criticize them, and even make fun of them behind their back. The speaker then mentions that there are certain people who don't want them to escape the situation they are in, and will try to pull them down. The speaker concludes that when we move forward in life, it holds up a mirror to these people and makes them realize they are not progressing.

"Delayed Gratification – The Key to Success According to Stanford's Marshmallow Test"
In this episode of the 5% Radio podcast, the host discusses Marshmallows and how they are related to success and failure.
This conversation is about income and financial security, and how to avoid ending up on the path that 95% of people take. It is a path that sees incomes cap off around the age of 30, with cost of living raises that often can't even keep up with inflation. When people reach retirement age, their income drops to half or a third of what it was.
The conversation then moves on to the marshmallow test, which took place in the 1970s at Stanford. It was conducted by Professor Walter Mitchell and his team, and tested how long little kids could wait to eat a marshmallow. It was looking at delayed gratification versus instant gratification.
In a recent study, researchers tested four to five-year-old children's ability to delay gratification. They put a marshmallow in front of each child and told them if they waited until the researcher came back into the room, they would get a second marshmallow. The results showed which children ate the marshmallow immediately and which ones waited for the second one. Surprisingly, one of the children that waited for the longest went on to become the CEO of a very well-known company.

"IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL THEN I DON'T WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL..."
I can still remember raising my voice at my dad when I was 12 years old as my dad and I are standing in the entryway for the living room right outside the mudroom.
I always felt like working 40-50 hours a week was not the ONLY way to get successful…or any way for that matter, EVEN at 12 years old.
You know how in the Matrix movie where Morpheus does the whole RED pill, BLUE pill thing with Neo - the main character? He tells him that if he takes the RED pill he can wake up and see life as it really is...but if he takes the BLUE, he'll remain half asleep.
This episode is me inviting you to take the red pill and learn the real truth about money, how it works and what the 5% - the wealthy are doing differently from everyone else - 95%.
Listen in the learn about the 4 ways of making money and why they impact our lives so heavily when it comes to reaching our dreams....or staying stuck.

Tony Robbins said: “If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you'll achieve the same results.”
This episode will walk you through a 3-step framework that successful 5% people use to get exactly what they want. It goes completely against the grain of what’s being taught in school. In fact, it’s literally the epitome of what not to do in order to succeed.
Job wheels, school counselors, career fairs, all of these things teach us to choose a career path first and then live with whatever lifestyle that path’s income can create.
So what gives..?
If the process we’re taught in school doesn’t lead to living the life we truly want, then how are successful people doing things?
They start with defining what they want first…..what they do from there is more simple you might think, but I promise that no teacher ever taught you this in school.

After 110 years of less than stellar performance, to put it politely, The British cycling team had ONE gold medal to their name collectively.
The culture and track record over the previous 110 years was awful…
In fact it was so underwhelming and got so much negative press if you will…that one of the top bike manufacturers in Europe flat out refused to sell the bikes to the British team to protect their brand’s reputation.
Everything changed in 2003 though when team hired coach Dave Brailsford…
His odd strategies got the team winning again. So how did they go from worst to winning?
And how can what coach Dave did with those riders be applied to your ability to hit your goals? Tune in to find out!

Marcus Aurelius, the second century philosopher and Roman emperor said simply: “Our life is what our thoughts make it.”
In the 16th century, William Shakespeare observed: “There’s nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so.”
During the 19th century, Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: “Life consists of what a man is thinking of all day.”
At the beginning of the 20th century, William James, the American philosopher who known as the father of modern psychology said this: “The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.”
And lastly —Carl Jung a Swiss Psychologist who was born in 1875 said “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate.”
Why, though?
What's the connection between thoughts and outcomes in our life?
More importantly how can we learn to understand these connections and use them to help us move closer to what we want and further from what we don't?
That's what this episode is all about. Thoughts - Feelings - Actions - Results. Listen to the full episode to learn more.

What if the life you were told to chase was never designed to make you free?
Most people follow the script: school, job, retirement… and hope it works out. But 95% never achieve real…
This podcast documents my real-time journey to become part of that 5%.
After trying college, private university, 20+ jobs, and multiple businesses, I realized the traditional path wasn’t for me. For the last six years, I’ve obsessively studied what separates high performers, entrepreneurs, and financially free individuals from everyone else.
Now I’m applying everything I’ve learned — publicly.
Each week, I share the wins, losses, mindset shifts, business lessons, wealth-building strategies, and uncomfortable truths I’m discovering along the way as I pursue total time and money freedom for my family.
If you’re serious about personal growth, entrepreneurship, financial independence, and building a life with more “get to” do’s than “have to” do’s — this is for you.
