as a great guide to a very exciting and satisfying career
Lee's book works both as a guidebook for the new seller and also as a refresher course for a seasoned sales rep. I worked for the same company as Lee did, having taken over Lee's Midwest territory as my first sales position out of college. Being put into a territory that has been successfully managed and grown by someone of Lee's caliber was intimidating, to say the least! However, I was trained to use the exact same selling skills that Lee was trained in and that he details in this book. I successfully used these same skills to not only manage and keep the sales that Lee transferred to me but to grow them over my 9 years with the company. Now, after 34 years of a successful sales career, I still use these techniques as they are relevant today. This book has a very concise summary of the key points and skills listed at the end of each chapter. After reading this book, I have discovered some skills which I haven't been using and can now refresh them into my sales routine. I suggest you copy the summaries at the end of each chapter onto a laminated card and review them constantly. I am recommending this to my manager to give to each account manager, new or old, as a great guide to a very exciting and satisfying career!

5 Star Selling from Beginning to Excellence by Lee Davis is an excellent source of wisdom passed onto those who are entrepreneurs and into sales. Lee gives his readers his wisdom and experience in sales from start to finish. His words not only help you understand the basics and how to get there but how to keep being successful. There is abundant of information that you could find anywhere, but Lee Davis's novel gives you everything in a format that is brief, relevant, and handy information. Plus, Lee Davis is an excellent teacher and writer. His way of sharing his experience and expertise in his book is amazing! He has over 35 years of knowledge in selling and sales management. I learned a lot from his book! There are tips and strategies that will help me boost my own sales and gave me the knowledge of how to communicate and handle everydayâ things with customers as well. Those who are beginners or are wanting to touch up your skills in sales, I highly suggest you pick up Lee Davis's book and start reading! You won't be disappointed when you do! I rate this brilliant novel a 5 out of 5 stars!
