Sucha Tilla (Pure Gold Thread) is the story of displacement during 1947, of losing home multiple times. Baba Huqma, a talented shoe-maker, tells his story of chance meeting with another man who also lost his home. Maqsood Saqib (born Sheikhupura, 1954) is a Short story writer, Editor, Translator, and Publisher.

He has published two collections of stories KahaniyaaN (1986) and Sucha Tilla tay Hor KahaniyaaN (1995) . He was the editor of the magazine Ma Boli and now edits Puncham. He has translated four books in Punjabi as well which includes Pankh Mukt (2002) . He runs Suchet Kitab Ghar, a Punjabi publishing house based in Lahore. In 1990 he received the Bhai Vir Singh award in East Punjab. (writer's details from "Kitab Trinjan")
