Every Saturday, Tshepi Moji looks back at some the best moments of your week gone by. This week, the kiddos went back to school and Tshepi found out what they enjoyed most about heading back to school this past week!
During the Month of August on the Saturday edition of 5 Weekend Early Mornings, Tshepi got a bunch of important women in his life to write letters to their younger selves in celebration and acknowledgment of the growth, the challenges, and the experience of being a young woman in South Africa in 2023. Today's Letter To A Younger Me is written by Law Student and News Journalist Keziah Toemaker.
So - it's the end of the term. Your marks are out and so are the reports and in addition to the shocking numbers on the report card, your teacher writes a comment that you know will get your parents to whip the belt out. Usually, Tshepi loves hearing what your weekend sounded like, but this time, the tables turn as he relives a WILD Saturday night (and a bit of Sunday morning!) as a calm birthday party turns into a crazy night on the town - with a LOT of missing pieces!
Lasizwe got asked to go to one of his fans matric dance. HE SAID YES! We find out from her what she is most looking forward to on the night!
I reflect on how I grew up on 7De Laan, how it helped me and so many other students understand afrikaans better and how it was a part of so many South Africans households. Two actresses (Annelisa who played Hilda and Keabetswe Motsilanyane who played Lesedi Moloi) from the show reflect on their time on the show and their feelings towards it ending.
Noble Haskel was told he would never walk again after he was injured in a car accident, yet he defied the odds proved that he could indeed do it and walk AGAIN! Yet, he won't stop there...
