The traffic collision on July 26, 2009, on the Taconic State Parkway in New York resulted in the deaths of eight people. Diane Schuler, driving in the wrong direction, collided head-on with an SUV, killing herself, her daughter, three nieces, and three occupants of the SUV. Toxicology tests revealed she was heavily intoxicated with alcohol and marijuana.
