This week's "guest" is Munitionette Maggie Drage, later Margaret Thon. She served in World War I as a member of the British Armed Forces. She was in the Women's Auxilliary Army Corps and was a "Canary Girl" in a munitions factory. This interview was conducted in 1974, rerecorded in 1997, and rererecorded in 2018.
The intro music is a selection from the US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps followed by reveille. Reveille is a bugle call usually associated with the military; it is chiefly used to wake military personnel. The outro music is retreat. Retreat is used to signal the end of the official day and, in the US Army, is played just before evening colors.
