Bradley Beach Police Chief Leonard Guida showed up to investigate a car crash at 10:30PM, not in uniform and drunk. In spite of having no business to be there or much fashion sense himself, he told on duty Sergeant William Major that his jacket was not up to standards. The chief assaulted him, and obstructed his investigation of the DUI. Obviously, the chief had enough shame to resign-- no wait, he relieved the Sergeant and suspended him immediately and told him to report to the station. Luckily, more sober heads are working to resolve the situation.
Another black eye for the cops? Don't worry, former cop Eric Tansey is on scene with a cold compress of truth.
